Talented, beautiful, successful, rich (and even profiled on 60 Minutes ), it’s long been a mystery why Sheryl Crow has been so unsuccessful in the marriage market. But she has some explanations in a long interview in Good Housekeeping, where she is the August cover star.

At 52, she’s ended up as a single mom, a breast-cancer and brain-tumor survivor, in a life far different from the traditional family she was raised in. But she’s still embracing its values. Crow dished, “Hey, I would love to get married — I’m still old-fashioned. But I don’t think marriage is the be-all and end-all." Adding, It’s better to have three broken engagements than three divorces.”
