It's a sad day for fans of punk rock as Tommy Ramone has passed away. He was just 62-years-old. Variety broke the news, reporting that Ramone died on Friday at his home in Queens, New York. He'd apparently been in the care of hospice due to a recent treatment for bile duct cancer.

Tommy was the last surviving original member of The Ramones -- a punk quartet that paved the way for underground music in the 1970s. He played the drums for the group on their first three albums and produced several other of the groups later albums.
